Flash changed to Animate while I was in the middle of plugging through this CIB, but the rest of the lessons worked. There’s an update provided in the lesson update folder for Lesson 10, but it’s still not right.
I guess I’ll need to google “inserting JavaScript in Animate” to round out this chapter. The only issue is with all Adobe Classroom in a Book series, that being you practically have to redo a project in-order to relearn one single step. There is no cross-reference to look up steps or change the look of the software, tools. You have to go back and redo the project that touched on the subject.
All the steps within a project, you are given what numbers or adjustments to use and nothing explains why you had to use those numbers or adjustments.
Otherwise the books are great for showing what can be done with the software. This is a great book. The downloadable lesson files that aid in understanding the content of each chapter also help to cement the specificity of the ideas presented. If you’re looking to learn flash, or brush up, I definitely recommend this book. One person found this helpful. This book takes you through Flash step by step and leaves you with a good solid foundation for the application.
I would recommend this book to anyone who wants to learn Flash. It is what it is. Flash classroom in a book. Used but in brand new condition. I purchased this book for school. I like it. I have bought the full series of classroom in a book – for the Adobe cc suite. Unfortunately I bought the complete classroom in a book CS6 books and then adobe went and updated the whole suite which made a lot of the information redundant. Great books and very easy to follow as long as you have some fairly decent computer skills. After the third lesson you really start to get into it. I have learnt more things about FL cc than I had ever learnt before.
My only gripe, hence the star rating drop – is that the activation code for the classroom material download is right at the back of the book – a bit of a pain on a kindle style book.. It is basically a manual for using Flash CC Interface. It can be useful if you are an absolute beginner to flash, if if you want to find your way in the new enhanced timeline motion editor. For advanced coders it is useless.
Report abuse. Most of this you could work out yourself unless you are an absolute beginner. It is pretty expensive for a book that is so lacking depth. Pleased with purchase Detailed and thorough, this is the best way to learn Animate Formerly known as Flash.
